When I talk to somebody about nutrition, they always tell me how they couldn’t give up junk food. That’s why they need to eat something “forbidden” at least once a week. Personally I do not like to call a food “forbidden” or “allowed”. To me food is either healthy,i.e. giving your body what it needs to function properly, or junk,i.e. robbing your body and making you sick!
That’s why I suggest everybody that still needs to eat sweet things, to cook them by himself! You can’t imagine the difference between homemade food, and food bought from the supermarket! That is why today I iwll suggest you a quick, easy and delicious recepie for chocolate balls with coconut filling.
Ingredients for 3 chocolates:
For the filling:
50 grams walnuts
50 grams coconut flakes
50 grams raw sunflower seeds (rinsed and soaked)
1 table spoon honey
1 table spoon butter
vanilla
For the chocolate dip:
3 table spoons cocoa powder
1-2 table spoons honey
1 table spoon butter
Directions:
1. Put the walnuts,coconut flakes and sunflower seeds in the food processor and blend:
2.Add the butter,the honey and the vanilla and blend again till you have a dough texture
3.Take a spoon and shape small balls
4. Put the balls in the fridge, till you prepare the chocolate dip
5. Melt the butter and add the honey and the cocoa powder, then mix good
6.Take the balls and dip them one by one in the chocolate
Here we are! We have the chocolate balls with the coconut filling! Leave them in the fridge for a while and the eat them! 🙂
