The other day I was arguing with some friends about the topic on eating junk food or not. One of them haven’t eaten any crap for a month and she was planning on eating a ton of it on that particular day. Probably to make up for the days she ate clean!
I am totally aware that some crap every now and then, won’t ruin your efforts and your physique, but I still don’t like the idea. Why?
Because in my point of view, besides body composition goals, we are trying to get healthier. And after you start eating clean, a crappy meal full of junk and processed foods, only makes you feel sluggish, bloated, tired and just feeling like total crap!
In my oppinion the joy of eating junk food for 5-10 minutes is totally not worth the terrible feeling after that!
That’s why I have a better idea. If at times I crave eating some junk, just something sweet and different, I try not to eat processed crap. Instead I’d rather cook it myself. I use only real food, that nourishes my body, even if it is not something I would eat on a dialy basis!
The advantages of a healthy treat are that it tastes better than junk, it nourishes your body, it won’t make you feel like crap, it won’t hurt your physic as much as the junk food would and so forth!
That is why today I will give you some of my favorite recipes for a healthy treat! Check them out below!

Today, I went to the beach with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it
to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.”
She put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab
inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back!
LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!
This is so true! I live in the UK and the quality of food here is generally very very bad – everything is packed or canned so you don’t really have much choice…However, I try to buy stuff from international stores where I can also find Bulgarian food and I try to cook as often as I can (I’m the worst cook ever!) because eating out would mean eating hamburgers, lasagna, pasta etc junk food….I know the veggies and fruits I buy are not the best ever but they are certainly better than eating junk food. I haven’t had such crap for long time and yesterday I don’t know why but I decided to have spaghetti…Guess what: it’s been 2 days since I have stomachaches! My body is simply not used to such kind of food anymore! I feel totally sick! On top of that, I run every day at least 4km and yesterday I felt so bad while running…It was terrible! I felt heavy and sick! Soo sick! Yeah, maybe having chocolate every now and then is all right but eating junk food…no! What’s more, I cooked the pasta myself, I had organic spaghetti, even expensive mince and you see the result…It’s probably the bag quality of meat here. No matter where I buy it from (unless it’s a fish market or a butcher lol but where do you find that really 😀 ) it’s all the same crap! I really don’t know what to do. Before moving to London, I used to live in a port city (Southampton) so I was lucky to have plenty of fish markets with fresh fish or farmer fares where you could buy organic products. Here in London that’s a bit more complicated considering the busy life and huge distances…I really don’t know what to do but I certainly won’t eat spaghetti anymore lol.
