Ines Subashka: Introduce yourself.
Adrien Rudesal: My name is Adrien Rudesal and I am a co-owner of CrossFit Round Rock.
IS: How long have you being doing crossfit?
AR: About 2 years.
IS: Have you been involved in some other sports before that?
AR: Competed in NPC Figure Competitions.
IS: How did people around you accept the fact that you are doing crossfit?Did they take a jaundiced view of it?
AR: They were just happy I wasn’t doing Figure anymore! Ha! CrossFit was very scary and didn’t make much sense to everyone. I was a personal trainer at a globo-gym and CrossFit was the thing we all made fun of. Kipping pull up’s seemed like a way to cheat on strict pull up’s and not doing bicep curls was absurd!
IS: Do you have a nutrition plan that you follow? If yes, do you meet disapproval from you friends?Or do they understand why you eat the way you do?
AR: I choose to do Paleo/Primal. Zone with 3 to 5 times fat and little carbs mostly coming from veggies. Fruit post workout only. I have been eating so different from everyone for so long that it’s just a known thing now.:)

IS: What does crossfit mean to you and did it change your life in some way?
AR: CrossFit changed my life…but not aesthetically. I was a personal trainer with low self-esteem who never felt “good enough”. Even after winning overall at my first figure/bodybuilding show. CrossFit gave me the self worth I never had. It changes you from the inside out.
IS:What is your favorite WOD and which one do you hate the most?
AR: Favorite- Annie
Least Favorite-EVA
IS: Is it hard for you to combine your daily tasks with workouts? And have you ever used the excuse that you are too busy to workout?
AR: Very hard. Owning an affiliate being a Coach and Personal is not easy at all! There are many days that I my work out’s are cut short to be a better Business Owner and Coach. That is what I live for. I love to compete but if I had to choose I would rather be a good CrossFit athlete and a GREAT CrossFit coach.
IS:What is your biggest accomplishment in crossfit so far?
AR: Landon and I opening CrossFit Round Rock!
IS: Do you remember a funny story with you and Crossfit?
AR: At my first CrossFit workout going through the warm-up and literally thinking it was the workout! Not the case! HAA!
IS: What advice would you give to the beginner crossfiters in Bulgaria?
AR: Have FUN! Don’t worry about the clock. Practice doesn’t make perfect, practice makes better! Always understand when people “don’t get” why you CrossFit. Yes it is for everyone but some people just don’t know it yet. 🙂

It’s impressive that you are getting ideas from this post as well as from our discussion made at this place.
