“…it doesn’t matter:
The only thing I need are my writing fingers and a scarce amount of pain…” Bukovski
I love driving my car on the empty, evening streets. Just like this! Without a goal, without a direction. Just for the feeling. Isn’t it strange? How sometimes, something without a soul, could bring you more peace and tranquility, than tenths of people around you…
Does it happen like that, because every car is something like a different world… the separate world of the driver inside. You know what I mean… just the way every person is unique for himself!
Thus, the atmosphere in the car is a reflection of the presence inside. Just like people. At first sight, they all look the same, and inside is hidden their true identity.
Some cars seem fancy and make the wrong impression, that people who are inside, has the same glamorous life. And sometimes, you don’t even suspect, that behind the fancy “package”, the radio is vocalizing the evening silence, with the saddest song you’ve ever heard… the saddest melody, which is passing like a background… just an addition to the pain, which is tearing the human’s heart, behind the wheel.
And after all… I was driving and I enjoyed the silence and the calmness of the evening. And then I looked at Vitosha ( a beautiful mountain in Bulgaria0. It was one of those days, when it was cold outside, and the beauty of the mountain was hidden behind the foggy sky.
If you haven’t seen Vitosha on a clear, warm day, you would never suspect that behind the fog, there is such a beauty. You would think, that everything in the far horizon is just the dark clouds and the fog, which are leaning over the city.
Then I remembered how back in the days a person told be to observe the nature. He said that life is just like nature, and if I take more time to observe it I will discover a lot of “secrets” about life.
And he was so right! When you focus your attention at the present moment and you take a look around, you get to see the nature around. And it seems as if, its colors become brighter.
As if, suddenly what seemed just as passive background of your fast paced walk, is coming alive and brings a whole new meaning. As if, you manage to see the world around in a different light… that you never suspected was there!
Just as it is with life… those who take the time to observe it closer, to stare at it and discover what it has to offer them, reveal a deeper meaning and a stronger reason to live, than just the one to exist.
I thought about the fog and the mountain “hiding” behind it. Then I remembered about sad people.
Those who see just the fog in front of them and give up. Those who do not believe that tomorrow is gonna come, just to bring them better opportunities and a better chance,.
Those who forgot to observe the nature and to realize that there is time for everything… time for rain… for the silent rippling and the sudden downfall; for the hot sun and the tender sunny rays of the spring; for the melancholy of the autumn and the fiercely cold days of the winter…
I thought, that even if the fog is hiding Vitosha, it is still there… with its whole greatness. And even if it is hidden and even if we can’t notice it, the life in the mountain doesn’t stop.
Everything keeps living and developing, so one day when it is the right time… when the fog is gone, the mountain can reveal its beauty! The beauty it kept alive during the cold, dark days. The beauty, that it didn’t allow to die.
Then I thought that if we took the time to observe the nature more often and if we had seen this… we would know that in life there is time for everything.
We would know that when there are dark days, we should not lose courage and hope, and we should keep on building ourselves from the inside. We should keep growing and working on our personality.
So one day, when the circumstances give us the opportunity, we could reveal our greatness. So we can prove that even if we were behind the scenes, we did not stagnate in one place, and that we prepared for this moment… that when the world tried to hide our true beauty and existence, we did not lose hope, that one day somebody will notice us and see our true identity!
That one day, when the fog is gone, we will be standing there, more clinker than ever…
That one day, when the fog is gone… we will not disappoint the world, that we wasted our life and our greatness, just because we were standing alone and there wasn’t anybody to bow at us…
And one picture from the basketball camp I mentioned 🙂
