Today’s post won’t be informative, but I will give you an idea how to bring some variety in your workouts. You are probably aware of one of my favorite exercises- hip thrusters. If you’ve missed my posts about hip thrusters, you can check them out HERE and HERE, and keep up with the information.
For some time, I’ve been experimenting with a different way of performing hip thrusts, i.e. with a static hold in the final phase.
Usually I do 3 sets of 8 reps, and I hold for 10-15seconds on each rep.
If you haven’t felt what it means for your hamstrings to be on fire, then I am sure that this will do the work and it will give you a burning experience.
Another option is to complete just 5 sets of 1 rep. The trick is that you should hold in the final phase between 40-60 seconds.
Well, this is the task for your workout today. Try performing the hip thrusts this way and then come back and share with me what is your opinion.

And one picture of me from the other day 🙂
Single leg hamstring curls and plain ‘ol deep squats works for me. Never really done hip thrusters before but looks like an amazing one to try out! Thanks for the info. 🙂
