1.Quarter Squats

Ok, there isn’t anything else I hate more than seeing somebody perform QUARTER SQUATS! I know that the quarter squatters feel really strong, loading a bunch of weight on the bar and just squatting an inch or two down, but come on! Really? You actually look really gay in the eyes of the people who actually know how to squat! Not that I am trying to be smart, but take a few bumpers off the bar and squat- ASS to GRASS!

2.Leaving the weights all over the gym

Well, that is something your parents should have thought you when you were little. You are not supposed to go in somebody’s house and leave a mess after yourself. It is the same in the gym! It is not that hard to take the plates off the bar and leave them, where they are supposed to be! It would make it much easier for everybody and you are gonna be feeling proud of yourself!

3.Reading books and magazines in the gym

Unless you work in the gym and you are having a lunch break, you have absolutely no business bringing a magazine with you. When I was taking my certificate I even saw a man, who was doing leg presses, while reading a magazine! Freaking WEIRD! When you go to the gym, you are supposed to work out and your focus should be on the weights not Playboy, Cosmopolitan or you name it…

4.Mistreating your weights

You know what I am talking about. That guy who is always stressing around, throwing the bar from an overhead position. Besides being really annoying, lowering the weight is just as important as lifting the weight. If you are not strong enough to control the weight down, you have no business lifting it! Come on! I used to do Crossfit for a little while and I never allowed myself throwing a weight! Be respectful to the weights and the lifters around you!

5.Talking and texting on the phone, the whole entire time

I have a rule. I NEVER talk on the phone while I am at the gym! Even if I hear it ringing I won’t pick it up! I make an exception to the rule only when I am waiting for an IMPORTANT call. I hate it when somebody carries his/her cell phone around, texting between sets, during sets and so on. If you have so important stuff to talk about, why did you go to the gym? Better get your work done first, and then go get stronger!

6.Spraying too much deodorant or perfume

That is just gross. At times I am about to pass out, when I am doing a set of heavy swings, and somebody with a ton of perfume passes by me. I feel like I can’t breath. If you do that, you might be the reason for the death of a dude in the gym! I bet you don’t wanna live with the blame, so for God’s sake- DON’T DO IT!
