Do you like complaining? Or maybe you are always looking for an excuse, why things aren’t going to happen… it is too hard, it takes too much time, you are tired, you are busy…
Most people’s problem is that they always search for a reason why things won’t work out! As if we are trying to convince ourselves how hard and impossible it is! And if we succeed in something depends on us! If we are happy or miserable, depends on the way we see life. As it is said the quantity of the work, needed for you to be happy or miserable is exactly the same, it is up to you to choose where you will put the effort!
There are people who stare at night and see the darkness… and there are those that stare at night and admire the stars! It is a matter of where you are gonna look- up or down…
Today I want to share with you something really motivating and inspiring… today I want to share with you a moment of Gabriela’s life. And not because she is my sister, but because you could really learn a lot from her or at least her experience could make you think for your priorities and what really matters in your life!
Gabi had a complicated surgery on her foot 10 days ago. A great opportunity for most people, to make excuses why they are gonna be out of shape, how they are gonna gain weight, how they will be bored to death to stay at home all day long! But things don’t look like this for Gabi!
Gabi came to the gym for a workout with me, in the day she left the hospital!
Gabi never misses a workout! She doesn’t find excuses and never complains!
At times you will notice that she is challenged to perform an exercise. But she is still with a big smile! The smile never leaves her face!
Gabi climbs the stairs on crutches every single day- from the first floor to the fifth floor, at least 5 times a day! And not because the neighbors didn’t pay the taxes for the elevator, but because she knows that a person has unlimited abilities, no matter if he is injured or healthy! Because she knows that everything comes up to desire, will and strong mind!
Gabi walks in the park on crutches, every day, longer than an average, healthy person does for a whole month!
Gabi does pull ups, pushups, dips, pistols, presses, L-sits, band exercises and so on!
How many of you complain that tonight they are not going to the gym, because you are tired?
How many of you are going to skip a workout, because you don’t feel motivated?
Tonight, while you are sitting on the couch, perplexed if you’d better stay at home, or go to the gym, remember about Gabi and ask yourself if she finds it easy!
And I will tell you that it isn’t easy! Not at all!
But she has a goal, she has priorities! She knows that opportunities exist, as long as you look for them! She knows that today her workout, isn’t gonna be as productive as the one she does, when she is healthy, but her workout today is the best thing, she could do for herself in that given moment!
Everything comes up to this… to do the best thing, we are capable of in the given moment!
Complaining is a lot easier, than working hard… but the pain of disappointment and regret is a lot stronger and heartbreaking, than the pain of the effort!
Finding excuses is a lot easier, than trying… but the sound of being passive, echo a lot longer, louder and deafening, than the one from trying and failing!
No excuses! There is always a way!
