“If I could workout like you do!”
“ If I could have strong will like yours.”
“ If I could eat healthy like you do!”
“If I could live without eating junk.”
Truth is that you can! The problem is do you really want it!
They say that motivation is like hygiene. You should take care of it every single day!
I don’t always feel like going to the gym. Sometimes I feel tired, confused, sleepy or I am having an intense day. But I still work out, because I know what I want and I know what I am supposed to do in order to achieve it. I know that work outs make me feel better and that the hardest part is not the workout itself, but the going to the gym!
I don’t always feel like bringing containers with food when I go to the University, for a walk, at the office, but I still do it! Because I know that the little efforts I am making in the kitchen, in order to prepare healthy food, will lead to big results, which will feed my desire, motivation and discipline! I know that the little efforts to prepare healthy food, are well worth the incredible feeling to be healthy, fit and feel great in your skin!
I “couldn’t live without junk food” or it was actually easier to excuse myself like that. Truth is that there isn’t I can’t, but I don’t want. It is way easier to look for an excuse why “you can’t”, instead of make the effort to achieve something. It is way easier to eat whatever is in sight, instead of take the time and prepare your food. It is way easier to complain, instead of fight. It is way easier to take care of your caprice, instead of for your health.
But the easier thing, is rarely the better thing to do! Junk food, never brings the good feelings, that being healthy brings. Chocolate does never bring the satisfaction, as feeling good and being fit brings. Pizza never brings the satisfaction, as knowing you put in the work to become, who you’ve always wanted to be brings!
If,if,if…is for those who do not have a goal in life and an ambition to achieve it. “If” is for those who look for an excuse for their existence, robbed out of sense. “If” is for those, who always look for the easy path and spend their lives wandering! “If” is for cowards, who are afraid to achieve what they want!
Quit saying “if”. Go ahead and try! Give yourself some time and put your whole heart, will and dedication in it. I assure you that three months from now, you won’t remember how hard it was to start working out. Three months from now you won’t remember how cakes, cookies and pizza taste. Three months from now you will wonder how you have lived without caring about your health, food choices and the work outs you’ve missed. Three months from now, your life will be better, more productive and you won’t need motivation, because you and your results will be the motivation itself. You won’t have a desire to give up what makes you feel so great!
What do you choose? Are you gonna keep on making excuses or you are gonna give it a try and take care of your health, your mind and your body? Dare to feel the best you’ve ever felt?
